I happened to mention that I was planning to remodel my bathroom due to a leak in the tub wall. After asking some question about use of the tub, he suggested that as long as the tile walls were all coming down, to replace the bath tub with fiberglass shower unit so my 87 years old father wouldn't have to climb over the tall tub apron. His changes to my original design were just perfect! With only a short threshold to step over and the addition of grab bars, I don't have to worry when my dad showers, I know he is safe.
